Trio O3

Always in search of new sound experiences, Trio O3 approaches the contemporary repertoire with boldness, sensitivity and poetryThe Trio O3, made up of Eugénie Defraigne (cello), Léna Kollmeier (piano) and Lydie Thonnard (flutes), was formed thanks to the three musicians' shared interest in live music. After defining their own universe, they presented their first project "Échos de la Terre" in 2017 at Espace Senghor (Brussels). In 2018, the O3 trio was the winner of the Supernova Competition, and a year later they won the prize for best interpretation of a contemporary work as well as 3rd prize at the Opus International Competition 2019. The musicians perform at a number of festivals and concert halls in Belgium, including Flagey in Brussels and the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Charleroi, as well as at the Ars Musica festival. For the past 3 years, the musicians have been promoting Belgian music at home and abroad, notably at the Arvo Pärt Center in Estonia. In November 2022, the Salle Arsonic in Mons welcomed the musicians for the recording of their first album, due for release in March 2024.
